It is a spiritual battle we have been facing.
Lately, in this election year of 2016, there is a rumor that “they won’t let him win” . . . Who ‘they’ are, who ‘he’ is, is not the point of this idea I present to you. It is this: we are in a spiritual battle. It is intensifying lately, I think you will agree! But “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” (I John 4:4). And we are but ‘little children’ against a giant.
Your battle and my battle is “not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12).
So, what do we do? “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Take “. . . the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” The description of your amazing armor: “the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, the shield of faith” is in Ephesians 6.
Having done all you can do, you will stand. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. . .” your testimony counts! (Revelation 12:11).
No matter which candidate is elected, the one you like, or the one you dislike (or the one you dislike the most) God is the ultimate ruler. If you are on God’s side you are on the side of the winner.
