Your life will have a profound influence on this man you married, if you speak from your perspective. And you must speak; you are one-half of your marriage. Actually you (both) are ALL of the marriage, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be ONE FLESH.” (Gen 2:24, emphasis mine) Speaking up, with your positive “non-preachy” attitude, are the keys to the car, the gas in the tank. It may have wheels and a motor, but it goes nowhere without you. Speak tactfully and defenses from husbands disappear, because no defenses are needed. Peace and order, the environment for a happy, romantic marriage emerge because you are “Guide” in that house.

Relationships are rather like a puzzle. When the pieces are fitted together the picture is right. You are in the center of this picture, the very heart of it. Fit into your place and complete a charming design. You are like the Holy Spirit, rather like atmosphere around your husband. Your day-to-day influence in your relationship is critically important. If you put into your marriage the capability you are designed to contribute, you make your husband one of the most privileged on earth. He will be a better man, no matter who he is, because of your contribution to his life.

“Every wise woman builds her house; but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” (1 Pr.14:1). I asked myself when we first married, “Could I grow wise? How do I build my house? Would we survive? Could we thrive even?”

The world longs for the stunning demonstration of a courageous, strong woman: all female, good and wise. Consider Esther (previous blog) who became queen to Ahasuerus, monarch of the whole known world. Read in her Book how she took her life in her hands. Before the most powerful men on earth she devised and carried out a plan, preventing the annihilation of her people.

You, a woman don’t comprehend the power within you until you grow sure of yourself in your powerful role as a wife. You question, “Who me? Powerful?” Yes! That is your calling. A wise woman “…girds her loins with strength, and strengthens her arms.” Your position requires boldness, courage and yes, strength: strength of conviction and strength of purpose. (Pro 31:17)

Give the world around you a demonstration of a life lived boldly as a female. You are born to it! You can be the personification of success in this one life given you. From the beginning of time, there was a plan of success for you. All you need is to perform the plan of the Bible designed for you as a woman: embrace being this woman.

You and I “are his workmanship, (like fabric, a thing that is made) created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained (fit up in advance) that we should walk in them.” (Eph 2:10)

.. What about single women? Do you know your significance JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A WOMAN?
