A PRAYER FROM PHILIPPIANS 2

Lord, here I am, needy as usual: looking for your Presence, listening for your voice.

Lord, your enemies are loud and getting louder, determined to stop at nothing. But You, O Mighty God cannot be stopped or hindered or silenced.

O Lord, come to us. Let us know Your Presence, Your leading. I will be lowly in my mind. I will esteem others as better than myself. I will concern myself on the things of others. I will forsake making a reputation. I will be a servant. I will be obedient to You.

Help me, Father. I cannot do it in myself. “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” (Psalm 143:8 KJV)

So, Lord, You tell me “work out your own salvation . . . It is God which works in you.” I resolve to do “His good pleasure.”  It is a crooked and perverse nation out there – expect it.. (Philippians 2:15)

We shine as lights in the world, by holding forth the Word of Life.

I pray this work, this life will not be in vain.
