We wake this morning, Monday, June 13, 2016, with heavy hearts. Yesterday a catastrophe.  Mass murder was perpetrated here in Orlando on unsuspecting patrons of the Pulse nightclub.

We may ask, were these people sinners above the rest of us?

The Bible defines homosexuality as a sin. Well then, what about Adulterers?  What about Murderers?  What about Thieves, Liars, people who covet?  All of these are sinners too.  The Bible says:  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Rom_3:23)

Were the murdered in the Pulse nightclub sinners above others? The same question came up during Jesus time here on earth.

“There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”  (Luke 13:3)

“Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5).

No, we do not point the finger.  Our challenge is to look inward.  We should identify and repent of the sin we find within ourselves!  It is up to every person to perform within the same process.  It is not up to us, but to God, to forgive the sin. We are all in need of it.
